IEEE 1588 Conference in Winterthur, Switzerland
Meinberg successfully evaluated the interoperability of their PTP/IEEE 1588 products
At the international IEEE 1588 conference, which this year was hosted by the Zürich University of Applied Science (ZHW) in Winterthur, Switzerland and which was organized in cooperation with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Meinberg presented their two PTP/IEEE 1588 related products. During a so-called "Plug-fest" the interoperability and interaction with devices from other vendors was tested.
In Networks that already provide a stable and accurate PTP Grandmaster Clock and where NTP/SNTP clients need to be synchronized, the Meinberg LANTIME/PTP - PTP Ordinary Clock can be deployed to provide PTP synchronized time to NTP/SNTP clients.
These applications were described in a lecture which was presented by Meinberg in one of the lecture sessions of the conference. This lecture as well as the Powerpoint presentation can be downloaded from Meinbergs webserver
